Blogging about a Barista

Happy Thursday!  It's 9am and I've already been off of work for an hour : ))) Today was my first day as a Barista at an ADORABLE coffee shop (25 30 Espresso) just a few blocks from my house.  I am so looking forward to spending this year in Fredericksburg working at such a cute little spot :)

New Apartment!

It has been a great week :)  We're finally settled into our new apartment in Fredericksburg, VA!  My hubby and I had a lot of fun decorating and organizing.  Here are a few of our mini projects:

We mounted this 7' oar over our bed and hung a dark curtain panel behind the bed to add some color contrast to the boring white walls :)  My hand drawn seahorse & crab helped solidify the nautical theme ;)

 

I got this sweet little jewelry stand from World Market and LOVE it!  I made the candle holders with mason jars, ribbon, rope & burlap.  We found the rustic frame & teal "R" at Hobby Lobby!

Now hopefully the Navy won't move us for a little while so we can enjoy our new place and new town!  Have a great weekend everyone :)

Open for Business!

My Etsy shop is FINALLY open for business!  So far i have crocheted headbands and Ear Warmers for sale.  By the end of the month I will be adding crochet jewelry & hand painted coffee mugs!  Check it out!

Cross Country Move

We finally made the move.  Cross country drive from Carmel, CA over to Fredericksburg, VA!  Here are a few photos from the road trip:

Next stop, Denver, CO!  Here we are at the Denver Zoo with Dylan's sweet cousins Shirene and Emily :)

On to Potosi, MO to visit Dylan's grandmother!  Here we are with the little girl, "Button", she watches during the week!

Next stop, Cincinnati, OH to visit our dear friends Alex & Sarah! Lots of Rock Band to be played :)


Then finally here are in Virginia!  So far it's a great little town!  We can walk to the downtown area which is great!

I love having this down time to make gifts for my friends :) But now it's time to start working on projects for my Etsy shop!  Photos to come <3

Bitter Sweet

So proud of my amazing husband for graduating with his Masters Degree from Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA.  On the flip side....slightly bummed because that means we'll be leaving this little paradise/fairytale land in a couple of weeks...but off to the next adventure!  The positive is that we have 2 weeks with no school/work to enjoy CA! <3
